Owners of Multi Best In Show, Specialty winning, Grand Champion and Australian Champion Siberian Huskies.

Our name Kazyon, pronounced Ka – Zyon, forms the combination of our first Siberian: Kato and our award winning boy: Zyon.

We’ve maintained small numbers of Siberians since 2000. This has allowed us to dedicate a lot of time to gain more knowledge on the breed, to campaign Siberians owned by others, build friendships and to establish our kennel with what we consider ‘Quality, not Quantity’.

All of our dogs are beloved family members.

Friendships have been formed with many respected breeders around the world and our goal is to preserve this wonderful breed for future generations in both function and form. We hold current memberships with the ‘Siberian Husky Club of Victoria’, ‘Siberian Husky Club of NSW’, ‘NZ Kennel Club’, ‘Dogs Victoria’ and the ‘Utility Dog Club of Victoria’.

We would like to thank our good friend Katrina Fisher of Canyonlands Siberians, in allowing us to own and campaign Canyonlands bred/imported Siberians. Kazyon wouldn’t be where we are at present and into the future. Working closely with each other, we are happy with the direction our kennels have become and the style of Siberian we both admire.

Background

Prior to owning Siberian Huskies, we have owned Afghan Hounds and Fox Terriers. Between our main interests of speedway, dirt bikes and my family showing Afghan Hounds for a period of time, it was decided to continue with our passion of various motor sports. After we lost our Fox Terrier at a very old age, I decided that I wanted to own a Siberian Husky. Since then, I have never looked back!

We have been involved with Siberian Huskies since 2000, when we purchased our first male, Kato. A family pet for 2 ½, we had learnt a lot about the breed and what not to do! After this time, Kato and I entered the dog show scene for the first time. Showing dogs wasn’t our criteria, until we decided to give it a go. An enormous challenge within itself; we were entering into a world of not knowing anyone, an adult dog that wasn’t trained from a puppy age and we had no idea what to expect. Kato gained a Runner-Up BIS and many championship points, but then it was decided to wait for our next Siberian to start all over again.

In 2004, we were blessed with Zyon. Still new to it all, we decided to test our skills in training and grooming without any guidance. We were extremely pleased with the outcome - Zyon’s achievements at the young age of 16 months, took us to another level. Large BOB wins, many Group 1 & 2 and a New Champion against tough competition, was a highlight within itself for us. When we gained the Best in Specialty win on Zyon under a huge breed entry, we had achieved more then we could have ever expected.

In 2006, I was offered the opportunity to train and campaign an 8 month old daughter of Zyon. ‘Jazz’ had amassed results at an early age and at 2 ½ years old, her results were outstanding - ‘BIS/BISS Aust GRAND CH/NZ CH Aeukanmanuva AllThat Jaz’. Jazz is very special to me – the bond that we share is enormous!

In late 2007, Draven joined our kennel to replace his retired sire and to form the union of Canyonlands bloodlines over 10 years. An Australian Champion and All Breeds Best In Show winner at 16 months old, Draven is our upcoming show prospect.

In 2009, the future of Kazyon will take us to another level in our kennel.

Thank you for visiting our website – we hope that you enjoy your visit. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding this wonderful breed.
